Ask your doctor. Most will do a scheduled c-section a little earlier than the due date.

do you need a c-section? If it is a repeat and you really want (or need) another it will be scheduled approximately at that time. Keep in mind your baby is doing vitally important stuff developmentally right up until term so don't get in too big a hurry!

My doc scheduled mine at 39 weeks. Unfortunately my water broke at 38 weeks, so I never made it to my scheduled date.

I just got my date for my c-I am 23 weeks-she said it may be sooner but right now it is for June 1st and my due date is June 10th.

I really don't want a c-section but I don't have a choice since I have fibroids on my uterus. I'm scheduled for one at 39 weeks and I'm 35 weeks right now.

Mine were scheduled for the week the babies were due as I never grew "huge" babies and they wanted to make sure the dates weren't off (even though I knew). When I went into labor before each scheduled C the doctors just said "good, that means we were doing the right thing with the dates". It is not that big a deal to go into labor as long as you get to the hospital promptly. I actually preferred labor to my c-sections anyways and had more problems forcing myself to present for surgery than to stay at home with contractions! The only reason I would finally go was to meet my babies since I knew with my pelvic size they were NEVER coming out v____ally LOL.

i wanted to know because i want to do a c-section with my second one which is now and i'm 26 weeks so i wanted to tell my doctor to schedule one. due to the 1st one i had problems but everything was fine, i just don't want to go through it again

April, I would definately ask your dr. As far as I know most of them don't have a problem with it. I just want it to be over now, I'm 35 weeks and miserable!! Good luck!!
