NO!!!! Not necessarily and they can't make you! This is of course, unless there is a structural or medical reason that still exists. If you just had bum luck last time, then no, you absolutely DO NOT NEED another section. They will tell you about the risk of rupture, etc, but unless you are induced with the second baby, your risk is 1% and there is even a risk for normal laboring mothers too. Talk to all kinds of birthing places and get all the facts before you have another one. See the forum here on "forced c-sections".

It depends on what kind of incision you had for your first, and whether your doctor's insurance allows you to try for a VBAC. Also, your doctor might recommend it because your pregnancies are so close together. Why did you have your first c-section?

Might want to check with your hospital too-some only do c-sections after a first c-section-you don't get to choose.

It doesn't matter what your hospital or doctor says, you are a human being in a free country, unless you have a mental defect that has already been proven or you are intentially not having a c-section when the baby is sure to die, you DO NOT HAVE TO HAVE A C-SECTION. Just because they say it, and then tell you lies about how high the risks are (they are so small as to be insignificant for MOST women) It is time for women to stop letting the medical establishment and the lawyers tell us how we HAVE to have out babies.
