I had my emergency c-section to to eclampsia they think and tubal ligation in May of 04. It was horrible. My incision opened a few days later. I had to have in packed - very painful. Then I developed a hernia. All along the way I had pain on the left side. It feel sometimes like burning and other times like my skin is being pinched with finger nails inside of the scar. I had pain after the wound closed and after the hernia operation it was still there. It has been over a year for the c-section and about 5 months ago I had the hernia operation. Please let me know if anyone is still having pain.

Discharge can be a good thing. It means what ever is causing you the pain is leaving. Mine re-opened and it felt really awful. This sudden wetness kind if like dumping a warm gla__s of water on your lower tummy. I went to the hospital and had an infection. All went well and I had a home nurse come and change the bandages for me. It was that I had not drained at all from the beginning.

I had a lot of pain after my first c-section. I also gained a lot of weight. When I lost the weight, the pain went away.
