Has anyone experienced chest discomfort or breathing difficulty after having their caesarian?

hi there, I have had 3 sections and not experienced that but I would definately have it checked out by your dr. Give him/her a call today. I'm sure its something simple but to err on the side of caution you want to make sure its nothing more serious. There in rare cases can be effects of surgery like blood clots that can travel to the lung or pneumonias. Call today and you will have peace of mind. God Bless.

I just had my baby via c-section on April 12th and developed double pneumonia 2 days post partum. I could not breathe at all without the help of an oxygen mask and almost died. Luckily enough, I was still in the hospital when it happened, so I was able to get immediate care. I wound up being in the hospital for eight days and unable to care for my newborn, but I'm home now and me and baby are doing well.

I had this after my first cs. It had symptoms of a heart attack. I got scared and went to the ER. I was told it was air that was trapped from the surgery. Never did like that explanation, but I didn't experience those symptoms again. What do you guys think?

After my first c-section, they had me do breathing exercises in the hospital to prevent pneumonia. I had my second at a different hospital and they didn't mention anything about the breathing exercises, but I did them anyhow. I had a lot of shoulder pain...I had my tubes tied and I was told that causes shoulder pain. I've also heard about air getting into the chest.

This is something I was told to watch out for, for up to 3 months post c-section.
Also for pains in your calves.
I would get this checked out ASAP.....It is probably ok, but best to be safe.
