my son was born 3 years ago via emergency c-section after i went through the labor and pushing. i had a terrible recovery and now i'm due to have a repeat c-section in 2 weeks and i'm praying that the recovery will be far less painful this time. has anyone experienced this?

the 2nd is easier (or was for me) b/c you already know what to expect and you know how to move so that you dont kill yourself....

as I said,I had a planned section is was great,I did'nt know what to expect, but it was calm and controlled, and enjoyable, the pain afterwards with drugs was also fine.

I am due to have a third C-Section after the second one it is mandatory to have the rest by C-Section I never had any problems with either of the two C's that I have had they both came out fine. I don't think I agree with people who elect to have a C-Section because they don't want to go through labor and push a child out the natural way. It should be for those who can't have a child any other way but by a C-Section but don't worry Mimi just take it easy you do know what to expect this time around actually with my second I didn't have the pain or burning in my sides like I did with my first the second was a little easier. I laid in labor with my daughter from Fri night to Sun morning and then only got to 5cm and that was after they did the cervadil, saline bag, petocin, broke my water and doubled the petocin and she was finally born by C-Section at 3:04 am

It like everything else, depends and you can't predict. My 3rd c-section was as bad as my first after 38 hours so I can't promise you anything. If you don't need a second c-section, why don't you try VBAC? Either way, you will at least know what to do and what NOT to do this time. Good Luck!

i would LOVE to have a vbac but the Drs in my area will not do them so this c-section is as forced as the first. the only difference is this one is planned.

AS I said just now,I enjoyed my planned section, and would'nt want a v____al birth.A planned is so much different than an emergency, just enjoy it.I did.

My second was much easier, and I felt like I was mentally prepared for it. Also, the second time I thought to ask for gas medicine and was much more comfortable.
