How did you moms of toddlers manage after having csections? Im losing my help in 2 days. (my mom is going back home and my Mil is going back to work.) Im 2 weeks postpartum. I also have stairs in my house. My toddler weighs 30 lbs! How am i going to lift him? I dont want to hurt myself. What should i do? Any advice for me is appreciated!

I'm bad lol. I went ahead and lifted them, but kept it to trips up the stairs and lifting (my oldest) up on the countertop because he sits there and watches me cook. Since my dd (2nd child) was only 17 months when # 3 came and she couldn't do stairs yet, I couldn't really think of another solution. I just tried to bend at the knees and do it as gingerly as possible. Not sure if that's helpful to you or not, but good luck :-)

yea I had to do the same as sahmof3. I had a 3 year old and a 14 month old when my son was born. No choice. Just try and take it easy and listen to yoru body. dont overdo it

hi! i am in the same boat as you. my son will be 19months old when my daughter will be born in april. he is already 30lbs now, has been since he was about 13 months old so hopefully he doesnt gain too much weight. and right now i have it planned as my mom will be here the first week pp and my mil the second week pp. my mil who had 5 csections told me to just try and have my son come to like the couch i am sitting on and lift him from there she said that helped so i wont be bending over. hope that helps
