The numbess should be normal. It will take a long time to go away. The swelling is a little out of the ordinary. Try walking around, drink plenty of fluids. Did you lose most of the pregnancy weight already? If you haven't, you should contact your doctor.

The same thing happened to me. I had a c-section on Aug 17 and started swelling about 2 days later. It didn't get really bad until I went home from the hospital, and then my feet and ankles swelled so much they got big red spots. My doctor said it was normal and it would go away within a few days, and to rest with my feet elevated. I showed the red spots to our pediatrician while we were there, and he said to walk and then rest with my feet up. It took about 12 days for the swelling to start going down. Now it will be 3 weeks tomorrow since my c-section and all my swelling is gone. You should probably still tell your doctor about the swelling, in case they want to see you to check your blood pressure. I didn't have any swelling after my first c-section, so I was suprised when it happened after the second. Some of the numbness in your lower belly may never go away. I have an area that is numb from my first c-section, and it's been three and a half years since that one. I have a larger numb area in a different spot from this c-section, and some of it's starting to go away. Mine itches around the edges of the numb area, which I think is a sign it's starting to heal. I hope you feel better soon, it takes a few weeks to really start feeling like yourself again.
