It has been 6 wks since my son was born by c-section and I have not started my period yet. Is this normal? How long after a c-section with anyone else did it take before you started your period?

Hi there - I had my second c section 12 weeks ago, and I did not get a period untill 7 weeks after delivery. It was very light, and only lasted a few days. My Doctor said that that is very common with a c section, and that it also depends on how long your cycle normally runs. With my 1st c section I bleed for 8 weeks on and off, with spotting. After a few months everything returned to normal. My cousin, who also had a c section due to being overdue and a large baby, did not start for 8 weeks plus, and she was not b___stfeeding...I guess everyone is different.
