you know you had a csection when you hesitate to sneeze and start smiling after you do because it didnt HURT!

...your baby by sleeps through his circ_mcision due to all the drugs. This really did happen!

You know you had a c-section when... the other mommies at the play group are discussing keagels to improve their v____al tightness and to try to stop stress incontenence when they pick up their toddler and you have nothing to add to the conversation :)

You know you have had a c-section when you 1st go to roll over to get out of bed holding your stomach as it feels like your insides are going to fall out. When you have to bottle feed your baby away from your tummy as the pressure of the baby hurts. When the lo cries you DH has to get up for them as you are to scared of getting up cause you know there is pain to come. When you are driving in the car holding your seat belt away from your tummy. When DH baths the LO for the 1st week or so. And for me i did not have staples or stiches i had this very thick tape on the incision, i had a bath for an hour just cutting at every single pubic hair just to get the darn thing off.

Kristie - They didn't shave you?!?! I had been beggging my hubby for weeks to do the "grounds-keeping" for me for weeks since I was carrying so low I couldn't see what I was doing even with a mirror. He said no, that I was just asking way too much of him. Then he saw (and heard) me getting shaved with a dull Lady Norelco electric razor. I swore that d__n thing ripped out the hair instead of cutting it. When the nurse left the room to get scrubbed in for surgery, Chris just kept saying, "I am soo sorry!" over and over. Even after we came home, he took me buy the hand and promised he would keep me neat and tidy when my belly gets too big next time. I told him too late - he would be paying for regular waxing from 6 months on next time!

Kara...too funny! Gosh my DH would love to do the groundskeeping! Okay you know youve had a c-section, when all the v____al moms are getting sitz baths and sitting on donuts!!! A definite PLUS of the C!

you know someone had a c-section, when you see them scratching their yoo-hoos b/c the stubblys are growing back. ITCHY!!!!

You know you had a c-section when 2 days after, the highlight of your day is an enima. ( I swear I wanted to do a jig after I got the old flush)

....When your nurse tells you to walk around the birthing center and you end up doing 4 laps in just minutes and they are asking if you are ok and you say I am great can I get some chicken brooth and crackers when I get back to my room.

when you're all smiling because you're thrilled you didn't have to push a bowling ball out of a lemon!!!!

here's a story all the c-section moms will enjoy.....right after my c-section (i was awake, but kinda out of it...) there were two nurses on either side of me cleaning me up. they each had one of my legs ups in the air. (for better access i presume) so i'm laying there looking at these two pale things these nurses have thrusted up in the air. now, i have a small mole on my right upper thigh, so i'm starring at this wondering to myself what the hell they have up in the air. then i ask, " are those my legs?" and the nurses look at each other with a smile and the one responds. "yes dear, those are your legs" and i replied, "oh, okay" and then fell asleep!! i love telling that story!! you know someone had a c-section when they come up to you asking if you want to see thier scar!!

LOL I love this thread... too funny.... brings me right back to my section with dd.... I was lucky and had a great and fast recovery...but boy is it all true!

These are all great! I can't think of many that havent been covered! I about about to have my 3rd and final c-section. Only one I can think of is how good you feel it la la land during the c-section. Those drugs are wonderful

You know you had a C-section when you go home & try to get out of bed & it feels like your stomach is ripping in half. It took me a few times to realize it didn't hurt as bad in the hospital because they have the automatic beds where the back moves you to a sitting position & you don't have to try to use your own muscles!

You know you had a c-sec when you would trade your house for 2 percocets...

...when you see a woman holding her stomach to cough, or holding her stomach after she's sneezed with a pained expression on her face.
