Concerned About Gestational Diabetes

I would like to correspond thru email with anyone who has been diagnosed with gestational diabetes. I am having a hard time and would like to talk to someone who is in the same boat.

I also have GD and it worried me at first because I didn't know all the facts... What really helped me was the visit to the dietician/diabetic consultant that my doctor's office set up for me. She was really helpful and answered all my questions. She also helped me get my diet in order so that I could start watching my blood sugar levels. That is the most important part of protecting your health and your baby's health. If you have access to a dietician I would really recomend seeing one. Hope this helps!
