Losing Weight-pg118829270633

I'm in week 14 and having trouble with my weight. I felt extremely ill all through the first trimester - nausea, vomiting, light-headed, dizzy, tired, bloated, etc. I lost six pounds. For the past two weeks, I've felt better, although I'm still vomiting just as much. I'm actually hungry pretty often, now. The problem is that everything that's easy on my stomach is also low in calories. I've been eating lots of fresh fruit, hard-boiled eggs, tofu, soy milk, and protein bars. I've stopped losing weight, but I can't seem to gain any. I'm doing fine on getting enough protein, calcium, and vitamins (I'm taking supplements) but I really need some calories. Unfortunately, I can't seem to eat milk, ice cream, or yogurt since becoming pregnant. Even if I can keep these things down, they end up causing severe abdominal cramping and diarrhea (Can pregnancy cause lactose intolerance?). I've been a strict vegetarian for years, so I can't imagine eating meat and am not sure how my stomach would take it if I did. I'm looking for a bland, healthy high-calorie food to help me gain some weight. Most greasy foods like pizza don't stay down anymore. I do ok on unsalted french fries, but eating tons of french fries to gain weight doesn't seem healthy. Any ideas?

Avocado is both bland and high-calorie. Just chop it up, or make guacamol. Eggs are nutritious and quick to prepare. Or eat nuts to get a calorie boost anytime in the day.

I was also going to suggest nuts. They aren't exactly bland, but usually ok on the stomach - try macadamia nuts. They have a little less flavor and a bit more fat.
