I was an overwieght person until i got into high school and I have been crazy about my weight ever since. I am now 24 and I may be pregnant. My last mc was in Dec 12. I was due for my af on Monday and still no signs. I am scared to take a HPT for fear of a BFN. I have mild cramps today though. I am going to take a HPT tomorrow am. The only thing is I have gained some pounds not sure how many since I won't get on a scale. My pants are extremely tight now. I do work out on a regular basis, however I haven't been in a month and I just went back yesterday. I didn't know if anyone knew of any specific food diet to watch your weight when pregnant. Any help is greatly appreciated since I am extremely depressed about my pants being very tight. People have even asked me if I am putting on weight.

Hi KellyO Ok- I am 23 weeks pregnant and have had an eating disorder since I was 12 ( I am 24 now). I was still an " active" bulimic until I found out I was pregnant. So I know all about weight conscience and body images. ( I am also an avid athlete) When my hubby and I decided to become pregnant, I made sure that I had the help I needed. Yes it is very hard to gain the baby weight. But that is just it- it is from your lovely baby inside you! Focus on that on the days you feel huge, and teh weight is going to come off. As for a "diet" while pregnant- there is not one. You cannot limit your food consumption. You have to open yourself up completely to eating properly, staying active and healthy. Having a healthy baby and a healhty you has a great deal with the nutrition you put into your body. As for people commenting on 'putting on weight'- obviously they have too much freetime on their hands. Stay strong and if you are having a hard time with this- maybe you should hold off onto venturing into being a momma just yet. If you are pregnant- congrats! Just talk to someone- doctor,etc. And they will help you.

dec. 12th.... well how long is your cycle normally? Today is only cd33. That is normal unless your cycles are shorter and very regular. Sounds like you stressing about if your pregnant AND keeping your body fit. Don't worry about how you look, see if you are pregnant. Dont get depressed about your pants not fitting..there is more to you than your waistline. If you are pregnant just eat healthy, continue exercising and you'll be fine. Dont try to diet while pregnant, think about your baby first, then you.
