I craved Indian food the whole time I was pregnant and ate a ton of it. It's fine. The only thing is some people get heartburn from spicy foods while pregnant, so you might watch out for that.

The only foods you should try to avoid during pregnancy are mainly raw, uncooked, and fish that are very high in mercury.

Guys, I am Indian and I belong to a country with 800 million people or more. Believe me everyone here has spicy indian food...and we have a population problem in our country...only thing is that if you get heartburn...maybe you will be happier with something blander

Indian food is great, it has lots of veggie choices, breads and white meats. Just lower the spice content. Even after you have your baby, you can treat yourself to chicken soup, which helps build up your milk supply. Garlic and pecans do that too.

I love indian food too. Like what pj said, you can get heartburn because they contain a LOT of spices. If you eat everything in moderation, I don't think it will do any harm.
