I'm 16 weeks prego and I keep experiencing pressure on my pelvic floor. Also, I have not yet experienced the supposed joys of trimester number two, such as increased s_x drive and energy. Has anyone else experienced this???

hi. i would call the Dr and ask about the pressure. i had that too around the same time as you are now and i had a bladder infection. also, my Dr said that some pressure can be normal. i never got an increased s_x drive and my energy level never went up and i never got the glow. i didn't need naps all the time but i am still really tired. i am almost 27 weeks now. now i am getting more awkward feeling!

Contact your doctor. In my last pregnancy I had pelvic pressure and at times thought my son's foot was going to fall out. It turns out I was in labor. My cervix thinned out and I had painless dilation. It may be a bladder infection but I would contact the doctor and have it checked.

I was wondering if anyone had this pressure and pain in their rectum? that pain is constant and won't go away!

I had the same pressure you described starting at about 15 weeks. I kept calling my OB telling her I think I have a UTI because I have this pressure that won't go away. Everytime I had it checked though I didn't have a UTI. They chalked it up to this is how my uterus deals with pregnancy. I still have this same pressure. I am 26 weeks 1 day. I have had visits with the Dr. since. I have not been in labor for 12 weeks so I'd say there is every chance it just could be something you'll have to deal with.I have a personal theory which I'm going to have checked today. I think the baby is at this point in a transverse breech. Meaning the baby is laying sideways across my uterus rather than head down. We'll see.

Thanks Countrymom for the reply. So you also have this pressure and pain in your rectum? I just find that it's in such a weird place.. like it's not anywhere else in my abdomen just severe pressure in the rectum a__s area. I have my DR. appt today so i'm hoping to figure out something.

i am one day less pregnant than you are.. i have currently bladder infection, kidney infection, back pains, and i get the pressureon my pelvic bone.. i asked my mom and the doc about the pelvic bone they told me that the baby is running out of room and its trying to strech.. so if that helps you out .. good luck with your pregnancy!
