Has anyone else felt a cramping when you pee, especially when your bladder is very full? I told my doctor about this and she tested me for a bladder infection, but apparently that wasn't it. It's usually worse at night, when I get up to pee, and happens after I begin peeing. A little while after I'm done, it fades away... could these be "mock contractions?"

Hi Venus, I'm 24 weeks today and it's started to go away, thankfully! I felt it the most when I was about 18-20 weeks, and then sometimes it was like a bad case of menstrual cramps. Is that what it feels like to you, too?

I am now almost 37 wks and I get these cramps too. It's usually when my bladder is full after trying to hold my urine for too long which is not good and could cause bladder infections, which I have already had.I know it's bad to try and hold it but when I'm sleeping sometimes I won't get up right away to go to the BR and that's when the cramping starts.

Wow, I'm glad I'm not the only one who's been through this! Funny thing is, my doc has yet to explain the cramping to me! I have no idea what causes it...
