Jumping Dog

I am 16 weeks pregnant and I was visiting a friend's house tonight. They have a great dane. He accidentally hit me in the stomach while he was playing. It hurt and left a scratch, I was immediately worried. This is our first pregnancy - miscarried in May - so any odd cramps or incidents causes worry. His paw hit about 3 to 4 inches below my left ribcage. I remember at my last doctor visit - he said the uterus was two fingertips below your belly button. As you can see by the time - it is quite early and I woke up with severe cramps. Could be constipation or the jumping dog. No discharge or blood. Should I be worried and go to the doctor (b-friend wants to go to the ER - did that the first time around - can wait on that) or should I just wait it out? If I call my hospital hotline, they say the same thing - no blood, no fever - don't worry. What should I do?

I remember when I was like 16 weeks I think... I m ight of when 15... but my friends 5 year old came over and litteraly sat on my stomach... and he is a fat little boy haha.. it was enough to knock the wind out of me.. I was so worried.. but nothing came of it... I would say you are fine.. the baby is so small at that stage that it is really protected.. but if your cramps don't clear up in a few days i would call your doc just to look! good luck!

Thanks Bailey! Unfortunately another symptom occurred around 9am - it felt like a muscle in my lower abdomen seized up and became hard - like a knot in your neck when you have tension? I looked up some symptoms on the internet and some say it's Braxton-Hicks - but 16 weeks is pretty early for that. Even though several people said it happened to them. I'm going to go on Monday and try to get in to see a nurse but I've been worried all day! This pregnancy is stressing us out so much - at times it feels that we can barely make it the 9 months - too many issues! ;o(
