Hi everyone, I am currently 36 weeks and 4 days and I went to the doctor today and he checked me. I haven't dilated or did anything yet. I want to have my baby by Christmas and he suggest that I start having s_x more often from now until Monday which is when my next appointment is. He said if I have dilated any by Monday then he would make sure that I will have a Baby by the end of the next week. Can someone please tell me what can I possible do to get things going. I took some castrol oil last Wednesday evening for constipation and about 11 that night I started hurting really bad nothing I did would ease the pain I eventually dosed off to sleep I guess around 4 or 5 that morning. Help me someone cause I am so ready and frustrated and tired.

What a shame (you and doc) to consider that when you're not even due, let alone overdue. At 37 weeks sometimes lungs are not fully mature, let alone you trying sooner at what---35/36 weeks! Inducing isn't always problem free either. Extremely selfish.

You might be ready, frustrated and tired, but what IF the castor oil, hope you didn't take CASTROL oil, would of worked? Your baby could easily of had breathing and feeding tubes. There's a reason the baby isn't here yet.

well if you are trying to have your baby by the due date then intercourse and walking are supposed to be the best methods. i would not recommend trying to have it early though. not to be as harsh as previous posters, but your baby will come out when it is ready not bfore. dont force it. good luck
