For the last two nights I am awaken with pain in my lower abdomen. It really hurts almost like I am getting my af but with no cramping. I am so scared. My RE already told me I have a cyst on my right and left ovary but I did not have this pain when I saw him. I am 5 weeks preg. and my last 2 preg. ended in mc so I am really scared. Please help me.

were not doctors here !!!! Only advice I can give is go see your doctor. I a__sume because of your history you have a cause for concern which is scary. How long did you carry your previous pregnancies? I know it is common in your 1st trimester to experience menstrual-like cramps, some severe and some mild which is caused by hormones preparing your uterus. But you said you have abdominal pain but with no cramping. That doesn't make much sense to me. And where specifically in your abdomin? Your lower pelvic region? Where your ovaries are? Up by your stomach?

Hi krc, I have pain down by my pelvic region in the middle. I had a sono on Monday and he found the cysts. I did not have this pain then only by my ovaries. HOnestly, mabye this sounds stupid but I don't want to call my RE right now. I know they will bring me for a sono and I am not prepared for it. I am afraid of bad news. I go next wed. for a sono so I will wait till then. I just wanted some opinions of people who might of had. it. I had cramping two weeks ago and whenever I have s_x which I do not do anymore. I really appreciate your help. The nurses told me the cramping was normal.

I once had a cyst on my ovary that burst. It was some of the most intense pain I've ever experienced! I had to go to the ER and get the fluid drained out of my pelvic cavity. Gross, right?

Were you pregnant at the time?

Nope, I was only 14 years old. I don't know if pregnancy would matter in that situation or not.

I had a cyst on my ovary that was golf ball sized and it hurt like hell! I thought I just had a bad stomach ache but it hurt to move, lay or sit. It eventually burst, before they could remove it. Fun stuff let me tell you! I would go to the dr and find out for sure - if it's bad that is. If you're afraid of bad news, it will eventually catch up with you - there's no hiding from it, just delaying it. I'd rather know sooner than later, especially if there's something that can be done about it!

Hi Karen, I would definitely go to the doctor...May be they can prevent something bad from happening....You don't want to regret later...

I had an ultrasound on Monday and he said everything was fine. I understand what you are saying but honestly I am gong to wait till next week. I have been so much in the last 6 months and I am not ready to hear if it is bad news at this point. THe pain is not a constant. So I am hoping it is the cysts. I truly appreciate your advice.

karen- I am in the same boat as you. I just found out I am pregnant about 1 and 1/2 weeks ago. I don;t see my doctor until Friday and the wait is killing me. I have also had 2 m/c. I have also experienced similar pain. It is sharp and only lasts a few seconds and is in my middle lower abdomen. I just am having bad flashbacks from my last m/c and hoping that it's nothing. I am trying to relax and stay positive. You are in my thoughts through this journey. I hope that all goes well for you and your baby.

Yeah I had bad cysts before I got preggers. I had one burst once, and it sounds like the pain you described, but it was accompanied by bleeding. Also, sometimes preganany hormones can make certain types of cysts grow rapidly. Another thing, with this pregnancy I began to feel sharp pain in my lower right abdomen around 7 weeks and I thought, "oh no, its ectopic!" But I was examined, and it turned out to be a pulled muscle, which I have no idea how I got. So keep that in mind. Anyway, good luck to you. Keep positive!

Thank you ladies for your best wishes. I wish you the same. I am trying to be positive. THe pain I have comes and goes in all different spots but mainly on my my right side where I usually feel ovulation and in the middle of my stomach right below my bely b___ton. I was in the mall the other day wiht my husband and went into sharper image. I sat in one of those ma__saging chairs. After I got up I saw it said pregnant women should not use it. Great, there is nothing I can do now but it definitely upset me. I am so nervous with this pregnancy. I go on wed. for an ultrasound I hope I see my baby.
