Okay I have had back problems for 10 yrs now. I have gone to chiropractors and it helped as long as I went 3 times a wk. Basically it wasn't strengthening my back it was just make the pain bareable. Well since then I began to do yoga on a daily basis for 1 hour and that helped a lot with the pain. However no matter how strong my back is I still feel a tightness that doesn't go away without "popping my back" you know the snap crackle and pop that you get when you turn your torso? My question is..... Is this bad for my pregnancy if I pop my back? I can't imagine why it would be it's kind of like stretching. But better safe than sorry I guess

I have always had to pop my back and neck a lot due to an injury in a wreck when I was younger and I can still pop my neck and my back needs it but my belly is in the way and I can not turn enough to pop it anymore but if I could I would pop my back. I dont know if it could hurt the baby or not though, I have never been told that it would.

Thanks, and I soon won't be able to turn enough either. This belly of mine is growing fast! I will be scheduling a good postbirth ma__sage for myself with every intention to work out all the knots I've gotten throughout the pregnancy. I am lucky though cause I have a wonderful hubby that'll rub my back for me.

I'm a back-popping addict, but I haven't been able to pop my back for about 3 months now - can't twist side-to-side, can't bend over backwords. My aunt suggested that I roll up a towel, and lay with it under the small of my back. A small rubber ball helps, as well.

Thanks so much for the advice Jamie. I really haven't had an easy time with my back being so stiff and all now that I am 21wks. I will try that!

Looking for my wife for another dicomfort topic with her pregnancy and found this....ooops.
Back cracker too!! If you can handle it, 2 tennis b___s duct taped together, and then straddle the b___s on your spine, ideally you want to ma__sage the area that is tender, rolling back and forth.
I used on ball first, but felt like I need equal support on other side of spine to get an even work out for the spine and adjacent muscles.
