In my second trimester I had a horrible rash occur overnight while I was at a hotel. I chalked it up to allergy to the detergent they used plus new lotion, and the doctor gave me a cream because it was pretty bad. Whatever she gave me worked wonders, she also let me use benadryl cream that she suggested I put in the fridge (so nice!!!) The combo worked-I haven't had it since. I have no idea where it came from, but I did find out I'm allergic to cocoa b___ter. If nothing works, call your doctor, they have good stuff that killed mine in 1 1/2 days. Good luck!

Hi Ladies, it looks like you have the same prob as me! Its so good to see some other people out there with it. (not that i enjoy your discomfort of course, its so painful). Google this and see if you have these rash symptoms "PUPP".
It stands for " Pruritic Urticarial Papules and Plaques of Pregnancy".
Its a rash that erupts only during pregnancy and there has been no actual reason as to why u get it. Some researchers say its more common among pregnant women carrying baby boy's and also women who have stretch marks because thats usually where the rash starts. (first pregnancies are also common).
Im 34wks and started itching in my mid 2nd trimester but didnt get this rash until about 2 weeks ago. My stretch marks became inflamed and raised from the skin and then water like blisters spread over my stomach and lower pelvis. I now have a rash all down both arms, down my inner legs and knees. I was given a steroid cream to treat it but refuse to take it because of some of the risks with the drugs (my doctor said it was ok but to use it sparingly) regretfully i cant use small amounts because the rash is so big!
I was told the rash will not harm the baby or the mother carrying and will always disappear after you give birth within a couple of weeks....seeing i havent given birth yet...hey im just scratching this painful rash away until the end lol. Hope everything goes well for all of you!
