Welcome to the great life of pregnancy!!! I am 7 months and my little girl is very active. I believe it is very normal for your baby to be as active as he/she is. I know many women who have been pregnant and have problems sleeping because of the baby moving so much. I think the baby is getting you ready for when he/she comes so he/she can keep you up all the time.I would talk to my doctor and ask if there is anything you could do but I don't think there is. My little girl wakes me up early morning and stays awake for a long time at night. Good Luck!

lol you should do what i do. When the baby is kicking too much for me (i have a very very active baby as well) I tell my hubby to touch my tummy. The baby somehow doesnt like daddy to touch him or something cause he falls right to sleep and stops kicking me!

It's fun everytime the baby kicks though you feel discomfort. Mom should be happy if they experience like this because it is just means that their baby is healthy.

Cindy- that is too funny! haha. I have been doing the same thing. I tell my husband to come calm his baby down an it never fails. The baby stops moving when he touches my tummy.

I know its uncomfortable but don't wish for your baby to stop kicking-they are alive and well. My friend's baby stopped kicking and it was because they had died. Please don't say "stop kicking!" Not long to go now hope the next 2 months go quickly for you! All the best to you and lively baby

Eating sweets things can also get the baby active. Try to avoid anything sweet before you go to bed as they baby will be awake then.

I totally feel your pain! I'm having a girl and she is extremely active, none of my others moved like this one. The kicks can be really painful at times and I really hate when they get up under your rib and start pushing against it or when you get to be further along and they push against your cervix (very uncomfortable)- but my baby seems still most of the day and at night she ready to start dancing! And like a couple of others who posted here I'll tell my husband to feel how much she's moving and as soon as his hand goes on there she stops! I have used the benedryl occasionally which does help relax both of the baby and the mom so you can both sleep but the doctor told me to use it only occasionally. Good luck!

Maureen it sounds like your lucky. I've been having those annoying constant kicking since i was 13 wks. My DR says it could be contractions. It just drives me CRAZY. I'm four and half months now and i feel like im at the end of my rope.
