Sudden Pain In Urithra Baby Scratching

I am 30 weeks today. Every once in a while I get sudden pain in my bladder that sends pain radiating to my urithra. It feels like I got scratched from the inside or something. I do not have a UTI and it doesn't hurt when I sit or go to the bathroom. It only happens when I am standing or walking. The pain only lasts for about a second, but can happen at anytime... even right after I use the rest room. It always seems to happen when she is laying low. Could she be pinching a nerve? Has any one every had something like this? Anyone know what it could be and if it is normal or not?

I have experienced this same pain. I am 27 weeks now. I think that it might be related to round ligament pain which can be felt in the same area. I strained mine a few weeks ago and have found that the type of pain you are describing has happened more frequently since the strain. Hope this helps! You might want to ask your doctor about it next time you go in just to see what kind of advice he/ she might have. Good luck =)

I've been getting something like that - I thought it was baby bouncing off the pelivc floor and hitting a nerve or something. Too many things inhere that shouldn't be used as toys as far as I'm concerned!

Yep, that's been happening to me since Week 30 (am now in week 34). My doctor says it's either the baby's weight pinching a nerve, and/or everything pressing down on the cervix. It's so frustrating. Just another one of the joys of pregnancy....
