Hi I am 29 weeks pregnant and I have a serious problem sleeping. The problem is I can't seem to find a comfortable sleeping position and as a result I toss and turn till early hours of the morning when I have to wake up and get ready for work. My other problem is lower back pain, it hurts more at night and contributes more to my sleeping discomforts. Help anyone please.....

I am 33 weeks and also sometimes toss and turn all night...I have been told that a recliner is great, but unfortunately I don't have one. I do find that sleeping on the couch is sometimes more comfy because I can lay on my side and have the back of it to support me. I also use a pillow between my knees and under my belly while sleeping on my side. One propped along behind my back supports me like the couch. It seems like sleeping on my back is the best, but i know it can restrict blood flow, so I try to avoid it.

I'm 17w4d with twins and I've had sleeping problems for a while now.. my stomach is already so big and I think that's what contributes to the uncomfortable feeling I get trying to relax.. also have sore tailbone once in a while.. I wish I could sleep :(

I am 21 weeks and have had a terrible time sleeping for pretty much the entire pregnancy so far. I too prefer the couch. It seems to give a bit more cushion and supports my back. However, i can only sleep for a couple hours at a time. In fact, I am on the computer right now because i can't sleep! It's 4:30 in the morning!! I think my body is just having a very hard time adjusting to the weight gain.

Yep, I know what you mean. It's 2:00am and here I am! My arms keep falling asleep and I just can't get comfortable. Sometimes a pillow between my knees helps.
