I'm 17 years old and currently 32 weeks, and 3 days pregnant. I'm having the exact same symptons as Meek-Meek, and I would like to know whats going on. My next doctors appointment is next week, so I'll get it checked out than. Oh, and also I read somewhere that having sudden urges to clean within your last few weeks of pregnancy is a sign that you'll be going in to labour, and I was wondering if that was true or if any of you knew because lately, I havent been wanting to do anything but clean which is pretty unusual. Anyways, thanks a bunch.

Trust me girls, you will know for sure when youre in labour. Im pregnant with my second and have been having the same symptoms as Meek-Meek but cos Ive been there before I know that this is nothing compared to actual labour!! The beginning it is pretty easy, just feels like period pains etc but then gradually it gets worse and more intense. This beginning stage is not what they call 'Active Labour'. Dont make the same mistake I did and go to hospital too early or you'll have to stay in there! Best off in your home environment until youre getting 3 contractions in 10 minutes, with each one lasting about 60-90 seconds. stay positive- keep thinking "I can do this, I'm opening up slowly" and you will have a great labour! After all, its the most natural thing in the world! xox I had an amazing first birth, although long (32hours) it was a beautiful experience. I just stayed calm and was well looked after by my lovely midwife. Yeah ut hurts but honestly you can totally handle it cos you know its all gonna be worth it! Cos of this experience Im totally looking forward to the next one coming!! Im hoping these symptoms are the sign of labour coming soon as I cant wait to meet my new baby! Good luck everyone! xoxo

I'm 23 yrs-old ... 39 weeks pregnant. I'm afraid I won't go into labour and end up with a c-section, I really want to go through normal birth ...

Kt - July 28

To Dana Dont worry hun, you will definatly go in to labour. I was 10days late with my first and my waters didnt even break. They had to do that at the hospital. I did get contractions however and things moved along fine! I think the last thing they're going to suggest is a C-Section- before they do everything else to get labour started. Mind you- Im saying this and youre only 39 weeks- dont worry- you will go in to labour Im sure!! Its the most natural thing for your body to do. Try not to worry as that will make things worse, your body stores the stress. Relax, enjoy the last few days of peace cos trust me, once that little one arrives you'll wish it was back inside you so you could get some sleep! haha Good luck xox

i am 18 going on 19. i am 32 weeks and i am getting a few sharp pains everyday, and i am getting pressure in my abdomen, could this be the braxton hicks? i am also suffering from backpain and diarreah. i am not bleeding. but the baby has dropped down already. could these be signs of me having my baby soon? plz i need help.

kirsty p - July 30

well there is no way of telling when your baby is going to come. That the annoying thing about mother nature. The babys head often drops up to 4 weeks early in first pregnancies which would mean, that you may have it before you reach 40weeks as youre 32. As for the diarreah, well that can happen before labour but with me I just had a tummy bug at 37 weeks and was convinced it was early labour but the cramps were just from having a tummy upset. The tightenings are the practice contractions which again often happen 4 weeks before labour. Good luck, sorry i cant help more but try to relax. your baby will come when he/she is ready. Try to rest as really you wanna get to at least 36weeks before giving birth to give baby a good chance xoxo

Ladies, when you go into "labor"...you will know...it feels like someone has a death grip on your v____a nad is pullin git out and stretching it as far as it can go like a rubber band. You will not mistaken labor pains when you get the feeling and want it to go away and try every position possible (sitting, kneeling, fetal position, rocking chair, etc.) to make the pain go away. Trust me you will be asking for the "epidural" and saying "I want it now!!!!!!" Take the needle and you'll be in heaven...I actually fell asleep for two hours before I had to start pushing and wasn't feeling anything but a numbing sensation...not pain...and God was that great!

KT - July 31

well it is painful but dont scare everyone!! -but the epidural is pretty good! :)

A mom - July 31

KT & Mommies-To-Be, I didn't mean to scare anyone. I was just stating a description of what to expect so the mommies-to-be know and be aware when it happens since I had no idea what to expect when I became pregnant at 37 and no one was able to describe the "labor pain" feeling to me other than saying "you'll know!"

im 17 and this is my first child im 37 1/2 weeks according to the health dept. and im 34 1/2 weeks according to the Drs. but im havin the same symptoms except for diarrehia, i mean i have gotten soft bowel movements, if that counts, my babys head is in the head down face toward your back position and today i felt some pressure on my pelvis and the baby felt like it curled up in a ball and my stomach got really tight, and i have gotten some i guess they were false contractions, were my stomach tighened up and it was like i couldnt breath and the lower back pain would radiate to the sides and front and i couldnt move hardly..it also feels like every time i use the bathroom, like 5 sec. later i have to go back, sometimes i get so much pressure on my bladder i juss no its gonna come out along with the baby, lol, also i think i mightve lost my mucus plug but im not sure, cuz i got a v____al discharge and its sometimes is thick and ropy and other times its runny and its kinda yellowish, sometimes a light greenish color is that normal, or should i worry, i need help...

To every one who says "you will know when are going into labor",,,, not always. With my first daughter, I did not have contractions, but my water was leaking. I talked to my husband and we decided to go see my doctor. He said that I was 4 dilated and well on my way to having the baby! Allora was born 10 hours later.
