Hi, I was checking the site for brown discharge. I am at 4dpo today and the weirdness started yesterday when I had pain on my lower left side that was obvious during movement and when coughing. This morning, this pain was gone and replaced by twingy/pinching on the drive to work.. Weirder yet is that when I went pee first thing this morning there was a watery brown discharge filling my white underwear. What the heck could that be? It was kind of scary. DH and I BD'd last night but it wasn't rough or anything and my cervix is in a very high position right now so nothing was touched. Between the pain and the discharge I have no clue what it could be at 4dpo? Anybody have any advice?

I am 8 weeks pregnant. I just recently went to the bathroom and noticed brown discharge. I am having cramps at the moment. But I have no idea what it is.

I am 5 weeks pregnant and have experianced very light cramping with very very light borwn discharge. I found out only today that the cramps are being caused by my bad posture...crouching over a keyboard all day...and the discharge is the same as everyone else's, just part of the process. So anyone that is experiancing cramps try and adjust your posture and see if it makes any difference! ☺

I had brown discharge too at 5 weeks for 6 days, called my doctor right away and he said it was perfectly normal. I had my first US at 6 weeks and found a nice strong heartbeat.

Hello!!!!! I had little brown-red spotting for three days, my period shouldn't start a week from the time I had spotting. I had unprotected s_x couple of times, can this indicate pregnancy?

charlotte - November 28

No, I dont think that it is normal so you need to talk to your doctor.

I am having the same thing, but my situation is a little different. I'm on the pill and last week I skipped the placebo pills to skip my period (my doctor told me this was totally safe) now this week, for about 3 days, I am having this brown discharge with some light cramping. Any ideas what this means? Thanks.

I was 12 weeks pregnant and started having brown discharge during Thanksgiving. I heard it was normal in some case and so I didn't let it worry me too much, especially since I was searching every subject on the internet and people seemed to be optimistic about it. Well Monday I called my doctor and mind you I didn't have very much discharge at all, mainly when I went to the bathroom and wiped. The doctor took me in right away and examined me and said that it was old blood and that the cervix was closed and there was no new blood present which was a good sign. She listened for a heartbeat and there was none, but she had said that sometimes you aren't able to hear it until 14 weeks. I think that is a load of c___p. She sent me in for an emergency sonogram and the next day they called and said that the baby had died at about 8 weeks. Yesterday I went in for a D&C and now everything is taken care of. Im am naturally sad. I never thought that it would happen to me. I have two healthy children that Im very grateful to have. So to all you ladies out there. Don't take this lightly, I don't want to scare anyone, but I would say if you are having any brown discharge or cramping at any time, make sure you call your doctor immediately. Good luck to you all..
