For you ladies with spd/pelvic pain...I've been doing pool therapy for a week and now have NO pain! This is amazing! Simply stand in at least waist-deep water and move 5-10 reps. in every direction your leg goes (forward, backward, side), march in water, walk in water and bounce while walking. This has made a tremendous difference in my life. Good luck!

hi, i'm new and so glad to hear i'm not alone. i'm four weeks pregnant and am having steady period cramps extremely low in my abdomen. also i have a discharge with just a slight tinge. i have had 3 miscarriages (1 second term) and one healthy 4 year old. is the pain more likely to occur on the day of your missed period?

Hello. I have the same severe groin pains. I am now 34 wks and have been feeling them for about 2 mos. Apparently, mine is caused by the cartalige in my pubic bone tearing and have been told that there is nothing to do about it. I start phy therapy this week to help ease the pain...hopefully. Now a full bladder makes it very painful to just get to the bathroom. Since the pubic bone can't be put in a cast all there is is to wait for it to heal after delivery. (which can take a couple of weeks to several months) Good luck all...I totally understand the pain and a lot of others don't.

Ouch Kimberley. I've got the same thing. It's painful to walk, isn't it. Really bad to roll over in bed as well. Sorry ur suffering but glad to hear I'm not alone. I'm 28 weeks and the doc said yesterday the only thing I can do is slow down. My physio said pelvic floor exercises will help to relieve the pressure, and keep your knees together at all times (getting in & out of car, rolling over in bed, etc.). Also, I heard maternity belts or strapping by physio can help. Do u want to exchange email addresses for moral support? Good luck everybody. This is different to cramps by the way. It's pelvic pressure, pubic bone, really low in the groin. Good luck to all the cramping sufferers, too. Mother Nature can be cruel, can't she?!

Kea, I would get checked by your doctor for the slight discharge that you mentioned accompanying your abdominal pain. I am 6 weeks pregnant and was up on my feet a lot today, which gave me some cramping and pains in my lower right groin. I've been researching ectopic pregnancy, and they say to check with your doctor if you have a watery browinish, red dischrage as this may be a symptom of an ectopic. Good luck!

Hi , Thank god I have fou nd someone else with the pains I have had, for the last two weeks on and off I have had cramping like period pains and this has been on the tops of my legs and they feel like dead weights, they hurt most when sitting down, climbing stairs. is this on a par as everyone else, and does it get better? I am only 4 weeks pregnant. xx

I have some pressure on my lower tummy and i am 9 weeks pregnant. I wonder what could it be...

Hi, I'm 5 wks and just today (after lots of walking and carrying my 14 mo old) got lots of pain in my left groin area like everyone is describing. My tummy is really full (like im getting ready to show! W/ my first I popped a belly by the time i was 8 wks preggie no joke!). I hope it's just soreness like from an exercise routine but I've read that your HCG hormone causes ligaments to relax so your hips groin etc spread which can cause discomfort. While this sounds early for most of us it depends on your body and I'm sure the more kiddies you've had the sooner it can start. good luck to you all.

I am just wondering if the pain that you speak of feels almost like you over-extended or like something pulled. I feel a soreness in my groin when I move my legs certain ways or get up. This is different then the lower abdominal ligaments stretching. Just trying to see if anyone else who has had the ligament shooting pains can tell me if their groin pain feels almost like the bone is aching? I'm 25 weeks and it started about two weeks ago. Anyone who can explain the pain or confirm mine?

I am 6 1/2 months pregnant and in response to several statements: I had "period cramps" for the first few months of my pregnancy. I just used a heating pad (warm heat, not hot!) and took some tylenol and eventually I got through it. And I am also having the groin pain and according to my doctor: "It comes with the territory". She said it's normal but I am glad that others can share their experiences with me. I have also started keeping my knees together and that helps with turning in bed and getting out of the car. I feel like an invalid!

Hi all, i was wondering how everyone made out with their groin pain-i have it on the very lower left side of my abdomen (groin area) and am concerned it could be ectopic- i am 7 weeks along. doc says it is way too early for ligament stretching and it definaltey does not feel like cramps-it is a sharp pain. any one have the same thing or additional info?
