Hi all, i was wondering how everyone made out with their groin pain-i have it on the very lower left side of my abdomen (groin area) and am concerned it could be ectopic- i am 7 weeks along. doc says it is way too early for ligament stretching and it definaltey does not feel like cramps-it is a sharp pain. any one have the same thing or additional info?

I'm 26 weeks... and Boy this Groin pain hurts like @#$#... I work in an office setting sitting all day, not on my feet... But I do wear heels...sometimes, can this be caused/hurt the baby...?

Betty you sound exactly like me!! This groin pain is definitely an inconvience. I also sit at a desk all day and I wear work boots (comfy ones that I have worn in) and I still get it. I think that wearing heals sitting down probably isn't causing it but if you walk around a lot, you may want to dump the heals until after the baby. Plus I find that if I sit on my soft couch a while, its worse. Time to get a new couch!

I am 5 weeks and have a dull stretching pain in my left groin area. Very uncomfortable. Doctor is giving me blood tests to test hormone levels. I will know in a few days. I don't think this many people would have ectopic pregnancies. Keep our fingers crossed.

i just took a preg test about 4 days ago i am having very sharp pains almost like period cramps but they dont last very long i dont think i should be having cramps from streching this early i am scared please let me know anything

Virginia, I had period like cramps for the first month or two after I found out I was pregnant. My doctor said this was normal. But if you notice any spotting or bleeding of any kind, or if your cramps are seriously painful and not like you are getting your period, I would recommend that you go see your doctor. Even if its just to confirm there is nothing wrong. Its better to know! Good luck.

For all you with groin pain, I just want to mention that I have been using Icy Hot in that area and it seems to be helping a bit. It feels funny but its better than nothing!

Reading this has made me feel SO much better. I am 7 weeks along and have had a really mild period pain on and off since I found out 2 weeks ago. I've been so worried (probably overly concerned) even though the Dr has mentioned that provided there's no bleeding/spotting I shouldn't worry. The feeling isn't even 'pain' but more a dull ache (like I said, like period pain) that I only notice now and then. Thank you for putting my mind at ease.

Have you asked your doc about "implantation pain"? A lot of women experience this-I didn't w/my first son, but did with my 2nd. You have period-like cramps, and some spotting or down-right bleeding. It is what can happen when the embryo implants itself into the uterus, at around 7-8 weeks. It's scary, but it also means that the pregnancy is progessing and no ectopics. Good luck all
