Earlier in my pregnancy, my tailbone hurt SO BAD. It would just about take my breath away to stand up after sitting for a while. But it eventually went away. I'm 22 weeks now, and my tailbone doesn't hurt. Other areas hurt now, but not my tailbone. Gook luck!

I'm about 11 weeks right now, and my tailbone kills me everytime I do housework or if I am up moving around for a long period of time. I had this same problem with my first 2 pergnancies. Only mine doesn't go away. I just have to take it easy, and I find that wearing REALLY comfortable shoes or slippers with think sole help. Also a heating pad as long as it doesn't get too hot and stay on you for too long. Otherwise it just sucks and ya gotta deal with it... Joys of pregnancy. Good Luck to you and hopefully your pain subsides.

My tailbone hurts too!! It hurts mainly if I sit too long. My Father in law is a Chrio dr. and he told me to sit with more weight on my thighs while I am on a chair with my b___t back up against the chair, if that makes sense to you all and it does work. Also he says to not only do heat. Heating pads are good but- they relieve the pain as well as cause more inflamation when the heating pad is removed. He says to do alternating heating and ice. The ice reduces the swelling which is what cause the pain, all the tendons, legimates etc are swollen. So do ice for 5-10 mins and the heat for only 1-3 mins. Hope that helps, it's helped me!
