I have PUPPPS and it is terribly itchy and I have little bumps all over my legs, arms, stomach and a few on my back. This is my third pregnancy and I have only heard that it happens in first pregnancies but I guess there is exceptions to ever rule. I just got Sarna Lotion because alot of the PUPPPS sites recommended it and it actually helps some with the itching. I really hope it doesn't get much worse.

What exactly is PUPPS? What sites have you found with info. about it and where do you buy "Sarna Lotion" is that what your doctor reccomended? Is it safe to use? When I mentioned it to my doc. (about the itiching and rash) he just said to use Calamine lotion but I haven't tried that yet. I'm still using the ice packs and cold compresses. Has anyone ever used cortisone creams? Are those safe to use?

I know just how you feel. I'm 15 weeks pregnant and I have the same symptoms but my rash is only on my stomach. I have tried benedryl, caladryl and lots of other remedies but nothing seems to help. My ob/gyn says that they can't do anything for me so I will go to my primary care physician tomorrow--hopefully I will get some relief!!

I had that same rash - the doctor said it wasn't PUPPS but it itched so bad I couldn't sleep for weeks. I found a website called Naomi's PUPPP Page that had suggestions. I found that Grandpa's Pine Tar Soap worked miracles and my rash disappeared in less than one week. This soap can be bought at some local health food stores or online at their website: www.grandpabrands.com

I am 12 weeks pregnant and have the same problem. I have an itchy rash all over my abdomen, b___sts and legs. Although the itching isn't too bad at the moment. I have been told that it will go away and is due to the hormones in my body.

YOU MAY WANT TO ASK YOUR DOCTOR YOU MAY HAVE A THING THAT THEY CALL PUPPS. I CURRENTLY HAVE THIS AND I BROKE OUT MY WHOLE PREGNANCY BUT IT HAS JUST NOW GOTTEN WORSE. THEY CAN PRESCRIBE YOU MEDS OR CREAM SO BE SURE TO ASK. THIS THING IS THE BIGGEST PAIN YOU MAY EXPERIENCE DURING YOUR PREGNANCY!!! IN THE MEAN TIME GOOD LUCK AND TAKE COOL SHOWERS!!!!!!! IT IS VERY UNCOMMON THEY SAY BUT SOMEONE SHOULD KNOW IN THE OFFICE.

I was just diagnosed with PUPPS (39 weeks). I have no idea how women tolerate this rash for month. So far, the only part of me that isn't covered by the rash is my face, although it is all over my neck. Nothing is working to help stop the itch. I've tried benadryl, benadryl cream, caladryl, hot baths, cold baths, no lotion, lots of lotion and dandelion root - - nothing works for very long if at all. Mostly, I try to occupy my hands so I won't scratch and then I try to sleep. Although, I usually wake up because I have been scratching myself. I am hoping to talk to my doctor about inducing labor. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I'm 31 week pregnant and my belly itches sooo much ! I now have a red rash too - It's new. it appeared last weeks - when I ate a lot of strawberries; it made me wonder if I did an allergy to the fruit or not. Anyway, nothing seems to relieve it. I also put some lotion - it helps for a little while but not long. A few months ago I also developped a weird rash on my hands too. It is almost gone now.

Hi Girls, I feel so sorry for all of you and your itchyness...some of them sound very much like PUPPPS which I had in my last preg. I have since heard that FLAX SEED OIL & DANDELION ROOT tablets have worked for some. For those who are not sure what PUPPPS is here is a link to some pictures of it. http://members.optushome.com.au/westhoff/puppp/Gallery/index.htm Good luck.

I am 31 weeks pregnant and I have been itching everywhere for the past few weeks. I first had a little rash on my b___t, but I put some cream on it that I received from my doctor and it's going away. Now I have another annoying rash on my stomach that I am really trying not to scratch. I guess seeing all of these responses, it's normal. Maybe I need to call my doctor for some more cream to put on this because it is unbearable.

Hi to everyone. I was also having a terrible rash on the body that nothing could stop it. my doctor gave me the cortison cream and still no improvement, untill a friend of mine recommended something that she said it makes miracles in this case among pregnant women. It's called Tea Tree Oil, available in any pharmacy and you can read about it here : http://www.academyhealth.com/noname12.html or here http://www.newalandirect.com/ccp51/cgi-bin/cp-app.cgi?usr=51F4885682&rnd=2284509&rrc=N&affl=&cip=&act=&aff=&pg=prod&ref=OIL25&cat=Pure+Tea+Tree+Oil+25ml&catstr=HOME:Pure+Tea+Tree+Oil+25ml. Good luck to all the big bellies and healthy babies for all of us ;)

I had the same condition during my pregnancy. Even my doctor said there was nothing she could do. I found an herbal remedy online that cleared it up in 7 days. Purchase the following in pill form: Flaxseed Oil, Acidophilus, Dandelion Root Take 1 each 3x/day No guarantees but I tried everything from oatmeal, cornstarch baths, cornstarch pastes to anti-itch pills and creams. My OBGYN was so impressed with the results of the herbal remedy, that she took down the pill combination and is pa__sing it on to her other patients.
