I am 15 weeks pregnant and I sleep best on my right side is that alright? I have heard you are supposed to sleep on your left side but I sleep on the left side of the bed so it is easier to sleep on my right side.

yes, it's best to sleep on your left. I try to start out on my left but usually wake up on my right or on my back or on my stomach. Its best for you and baby b/c of blood flow to sleep on your left. But really either way as long as you are comfortable and getting a good nights rest, however you sleep is okay. Especially at the 15 week mark. later you may not have as much choice to how you sleep once you get that belly! Good luck and most of all like I said just be comfortable!

My doc told me that it is best to sleep in whatever position you are comfortable. He said women have been having babies forever and it doesn't matter what side you sleep on. I am 31 wks along and still sleep how I want, everything is normal and going great for me. I have noticed that putting a throw pillow between my legs when I am on my side has helped with my back pain.

at least you're comfortable when you sleep on whatever side you chose...i can't sleep on either side...even putting a pillow between my legs doesn't help me much...

I'm having trouble sleeping as well. I normally slept on my back or my stomach before I got pregnant. I'm 19 weeks along and I try to stay on my side, but it hurts my shoulders and hips so much that I toss and turn, waking up every 45 minutes to switch sides. My mother suggested sleeping as if you were sitting upright. Put a lot of pillows behind your back and head (layer the wall with them) and sleep at a good incline against them. I've fallen asleep like that as well, and it works for a little while. But I have a slighly protruding sacrum (last part of your backbone before your b___t), so that starts hurting after a while when I sleep propped up like that.
