I am 12 weeks pregnant and am short of breath quite often. I also get lightheaded especially in the morning. Does anyone else feel this way?

I also seem to be getting winded a lot lately and I'm only 3-4 weeks. Doing small things seem to make me short of breath and I have been a little lightheaded and dizzy too. Normally Spinning rides don't make me feel bad I like them, but last week, we took my son to the amus____nt park and went on one that was like the teacups. As soon as it started I felt horrible, dizzy, like I was going to puke and then pa__s out. Plus it has been hot here the last couple of days and that doesn't help with the breathing or dizziness. It is suppossed to be cooloer tomorrow with rain, so i hope that helps a little. My Dr. told me to just slow down and stop when I need to. It is hard to do that in front of my Mom though, she doesn't know yet and we are going to wait until 6 week u/s. When I stop to catch my breath or wait for the dizziness to stop she is worried. Good Luck!

Your dizziness is likely due to your blood vessels dilating to accommodate your increasing blood level, and cuz it isn't quite there yet, you feel lightheaded. Shortness of breath is common too, BUT if you have true *difficulty* breathing, get ye to the ER immediately (that would be the difference between breathing okay but feeling like you're not gettting enough air, and really struggling to breathe or exhale).
