Girls. Thanks for letting me know that we might not hear it. You saved me a huge overreaction. I have been so excited to hear it now I am sure it will just be a regular appointment. I read that you have to be about 12 weeks to hear it, or exeptionally thin, which I am not :o) Honestly you have no idea what a heartache you saved me. I hate not knowing things, you can save yourself so much pain by just being educated on a subject. Here I thought I had over researched everything. Just goes to show you can't know too much lol have a wonderful day

rosenow, good luck today ! i check with my 1st pregnancy and they didn't check until 14 weeks with the doppler. but you never know, it could be really strong and you might hear it or maybe like you said, they'll give you an ultrasound instead to see how things are going. that would wonderful, wouldn't it. what time is your appt. ? please let us know how it went !

so had anyone had any lower back pain ? mine is KILLING me today. i haven't had that at all yet and it's worrying me. i did see it could be the growing uterus putting pressure, but i also saw it could be signs of miscarriage. like most of us, i immediately panic about the negative....

Rosenow- I can't wait to hear all about your appointment. Mine is tomorrow at 8 am. I'm excited and a little nervous.

hey girls! this was my favorite obsession and saving grace when I was pregnant with my daughter and as soon as I found out I was having babe #2 I came on! I'm about 6 weeks and should be due at the end of Sept - I have my doc appointment on the 15th of Feb so I will know then! I have the cutest baby girl who is 18 months old and it's impossible to believe that she's going to be a big sister! I'm excited to get to know you girls, I still talk to a few of the mommas from my last pregnancy through facebook!

well dh and i got the see the baby today and hear the heartbeat. i did not know we were going to get to see it. it was soooooo tiny! I have to wait another two weeks beffore I see it again! Everything looked great but my blood pressure was 120/90 so I guess that is high because the nurse and the obgyn asked me if i was prone to high blood pressure. ooooooohhhh so excited!!

rosenow: that is so wonderful. it's so exciting to be able to see the baby and the heartbeat. my appointment is on tuesday and i'm so nervous. i know i won't be able to see anything because my midwives don't have an ultrasound machine but i'm hoping to hear the heartbeat.

Hi ladies New and due in September (middle). Feeling very overwhelmed with so many emotions right now it's hard to grasp. I will tell you a bit about myself and ask any questions you want. This is my 9th (yes ninth) pregnancy and I have two happy healthy little boys. I am 41 and we thought we were done (always wanted 3) but thought it would not be in the cards for us due to my problems and complications. My pg history is something like this - 1st on ectopic and nearly died from that one, 2nd lost due to chemical pg, 3rd is my almost 5 year old boy, 4th, 5th, 6th 7th all lost either due to another chemical pg. or unknown reason and my 8th pg is my little one yeard old boy this takes me now to #9. We are happy but very cautious about getting too excitie4d as we know the odds are not in my favour firght now based on my age and history we have some hills to climb over. Hearthbeat can usually be detected by 7 weeks it is rare that it is not. I go for early ultrasounds always and both times where we heard the heartbeat resulted in out two boys. I am considered high risk and with have to go through dozens of tests which I am grateful for as they will rule out some major things that could be wrong with the baby. My HCG levels are rising so we have some hope to hang onto. I go for blood tests every two days and see the dr. today for my latest results and book my u/s. If this pg sticks I will be 42 when baby comes and that alone is a scarey thing, but I believe that God only gives us what we can handle and having gone through all I have has made me a very strong women. I have a wonderful life and if we are blessed to have another child I only pray that baby be healthy as I don't think I could have a baby with Downs or god forbid something worse. My last pg I was diagnosed with SUA (Single Umbilical Artery). Normally, when the umbilical cord develops, it forms three vessels: two arteries and one vein. However, in some cases, just one artery develops. Precisely why this occurs is not entirely known. It is suspected, though, that one artery may simply stop growing as it develops or perhaps that the primordial umbilical artery does not divide properly. So we were stressed to say the least. Anywhere from half to two-thirds of babies born with single artery umbilical cord are born healthy and with no chromosomal or congenital abnormalities. Of course though you focus on WHAT COULD GO WRONG - birth defects, including chromosomal and/or other abnormalities. These can include trisomy 13 or trisomy 18. However, the most common pregnancy complications that occur in infants with SUA are heart defects, gastrointestinal tract abnormalities and problems with the central nervous system. The respiratory system, urinary tract, and musculoskeletal system may also be affected. One in five babies affected by SUA will be born with multiple malformations. Phew, but we beath the odds and our little angel is perfect! I hope I get to know you all better in this journey and will be around until baby comes and after. Ciao

I am due Sept 18th. I go in for my first u/s and doctors appointment on Feb 10th. they told me that we would be able to see the heartbeat then because I'll be a little over 8 weeks. I have had this weird feeling that I am carrying twins. We conceived with clomid after only two rounds. I have PCOS and insulin resistance so I am having to be careful. I am already showing at 6w5d. This is our first also. I don't know if any of you ladies know early symptoms of multiples but twins run in my husbands family (they have four sets and all on his moms side), I started feeling uterus stretching around 4 1/2 weeks and feel it still about every night. Cramping mid day and I get sick if I don't eat every 4 hours. HORRIBLE back pains! My b___sts have already grown half a cup (I'm naturally big b___sted anyways so I don't know if that has anything to do with it). I can't stand not knowing for a couple more weeks! Its driving me nuts!!!!!

hello everybody, i am due Sept 5 2010. I have been reading this forum for the last couple of weeks it has been a saving grace. Anybody' symptoms go away? I have noticed the last couple of days my b___st are not nearly as sore as they use to be. THis is my first pregnancy and i just worry all the time. It is annoying. I think once i go to the doctor i will feel better. I am 9 weeks i think. I am in the military and i have to wait for my insurance company to approve treatment at an OBGN office so it will probly take another 2 weeks for me to get seen it is so frusturating. I just was to see my baby and hear its heart beat. It is so funny because you find out your pregnant and you are so happy and once the news settles in you instantly start worrying about your child and everything is about them. It amazes me.

Gor will never give anyone more then they can handel and i truly believe that. jsuelle: congrats on yyour pregnancy I am on my first as well!! Had pcos as well and tooke metformin and clomid to become preggers tanya! welcome. you are almost my twin. I am due the 8th! my tenderness has gone down allot as well. As have the cramps but they are not completely gone. AFM: 9 weeks tuesday. Our ultra sound was sooo wonderful! I get another one is just over a week. I am a little higher risk because of the pcos but since we saw a heartbeat the chances are much much less and this makes me much much happy lol. so where is everyone from? I am from Ontario Canada.

tanyajean82 - February 1

Rose i am from Panama City, Flo. I am also PCOS and I am still taken metformin until i see a doctor to get guidance on whether or not to continue taken it because i was told only my obgyn can tell me how to proceed with metformin. :) I am glad that yu got to hear the heartbeat that must have been awesome.

kearly - February 1

hello ladies ! hope everyone had a nice weekend. wow, sounds like lots of PCOS girls here :-) i have pcos, but no insulin issues so i only did clomid, but I LOVE CLOMID ! so having pcos gives us as high risk ? i remember first go around that i had extra monitoring b/c she only had one artery and one vein rather than 2 arteries, or something like that. some anomoly that never led to any complications, but i was thinking this go around i'd be treated normally a__suming no new anomolies... anyway, i think my nauseau is subsiding thank goodness. have my ob/gyn appt this wed. not sure if they will listen for heartbeat so not sure if i should bring my husband or not. might call just to make sure he doesn't miss anything. he hasn't been to any of my u/s either since kids couldn't come to the fertility place. hope everyone is feeling well ! mandersmm, did you have your appt. on friday ? perhaps you wrote in and i missed it. welcome to all the new ladies !!!!!!!

kearly - February 1
