Abnormal Period Experience?

Hi guys - I'm not one to usually ask questions on forums but I'm truly puzzled.
I was due for my period on the 14th, I believe. On the 13th, I got cramps and thought nothing of it, except that my period was coming.
I began bleeding the next day. It lasted only two days. The second day, I struggled to insert a tampon so I just didn't. It's almost like my period just stopped. Over the next two days, I had faint pink when I'd wipe but I wouldnt even call it blood. Just minor discoloration. Then, nothing the past two days. Yesterday, I had sharp cramping pain on my left ovary area, and called my doctor and left her a message about this whole experience. She told me to test for pregnancy but I haven't yet as my partner has little to no sperm left due to chemotherapy. This morning, I had brown discharge when I wiped but none since. No cramps, no discharge, nothing. It feels as if my period was 2 days long. My period is ALWAYS at least 5 days long. Sometimes even longer. Anyone ever experience this? TIA! :)
