Jenn, thank you for sharing your experience. I never thought about the other b___st spraying...kinda sounds funny...altho I probably will not find it amusing when it happens. The idea of wearing nursing pads grosses me out already... must I wear pads EVERYWHERE?!...atleast I would like my b___sts to be free...lol. I, hesitantly, bought a few cloth ones so that I can be ready. It is refreshing to know that after 2 months of nursing, you are not using them...woohoo! How long did you find yourself using the nursing pads? Any preference...the cloth vs. the disposable?

Misty, I hope you don't mind me hijacking your thread. Since you were only posting a website and not having a question/answer session, I thought that you would not mind if I addressed some of my nursing related concerns in this thread. Anyway, let me know if you mind and I can start another thread.

Oh goodness, that would just be rather b___hy wouldn't it? I'm actually rather surprised and happy that my statement sparked a conversation that people could find helpfull. That was my only intention with my original statement, I don't really care how people get help with issues. It's nice if they do however it happens.

~E~, I wore nursing pads around the clock from the day my milk came in until about 3 weeks. During that time my nipples were like leaky faucets. Now they only leak when its been longer than usual since a feeding. I just keep a couple in my purse and diaper bag in case I am away from home and baby is not hungry. I never tried cloth, but tried a few different brands of disposables. Gerber was the one I liked best. They are very thin and did not leave fibers on my nipples like some of the other brands. Best of luck!

Misty, I like your positivity. Jenn, thanks for answering...3 weeks of nursing pads isn't bad at all...I can deal w/ that. Until recently, I have been nervous about b___stfeeding and the things that go along w/ it...strange how I'm not nervous about labor...lol. This thread along w/ the b___stfeeding course I took this weekend have really helped ease my mind. I feel a lot more comfortable w/ it. INFORMATION!!!! :)

Hehe! My use for nursing pads is to even out the size of my b___sts:) My right produces less than my left.

:-O at E! How do you split the b___stfeeding between the two b___sts? I learned that 10 mins on each for every feeding is not the best...due to the last milk of the feeding being the satisfying milk. I would like to know how women still try to maintain equality among the b___sts...lol.

I would also like to know. I do not produce more than a squirt or two from the right at this point. Equality is not the name of the game right now. I am Cyclops! I stuffed my bikini a month ago and made the mistake of going in the pool. I thought the pads were cotton-like. I had no idea they would expand into a gelatinous mess. The worst was that I had layered two in my right b___st. I got out of the pool and had NO clue that my right b___st was oozing gel and looked monstrous compared to my producing left b___st (10x the size). I was so embarrased. I have not gone back to the pool.

TP would have been better, believe me! I did not even think to look down at my b___b. I was talking to a woman for 5 minutes! She said nothing. Maybe she did not notice?? Oh the horror of that day!!

~E~ The best way to maintain equality between your b___sts is to empty one completely at each feeding. For example, start feeding with your right, when it is obviously softer and not full, you can a__sume the baby got to the hind milk. If the baby is still hungry, switch him over to the left until he's done eating. With the next feeding begin with the left. If you put a safety pin on the side of your bra that is due to be nursed from, it will help you remember where to begin. Hope this helps! :o)

Oh no E, she noticed. How was she going to point out the fact that this was happening without it being awkward? She chose to pretend like everything was just fine and dandy, but in the inside she was (and probably still is) laughing her a** off. Have I made you feel better about this yet??? lol :o)
