has anyone felt pregnant while on the shot? i'm suffering with nausea for the past 2 weeks, like morning sickness...had my first and last shot just over 3 months ago

It can take from 12-18 months for your cycle to become normal. If you are planning to become pregnant you would stop getting the shot 1 year beforehand.

I've just recently stopped taking the shot and one day while my boyfriend and I were having protected s_x, like always he noticed leakage from my b___bs. Is this normal for getting off the shot. We took a test and both came out negative, what is going on? Coud it be something else, I mean don't you get milk on your last month of being pg?

I have a question....I have onlt taken the depo shot once and don't plan to take it again. I had my period once during the three moths and started spotting till the end of my three months on the shot. will it still take me 6 months to a year to get pregnant even though i only took it once?

i've been on depo for a year now. i started it in june of 2004. i'm going to college and i'm debating to stay on it or not. i've never really had any problems with it but after reading some of these comments, i'm kind of worried. i know it affects every woman differently but i'm still confused on what to do. any advice please?

I want to get pregnant and I have been on Depo for 9 mounths and of aug.23 I will finally be off the stuff. My mom she told me that our family has a tendency to get pregnant fast. I hope that's true for me. I am young 18 and I think I might have a chance to get pregnant soon. I don't know what do you girls think?

I've never had a problem getting pregnant after depo. I can't remember exactly how long off of it I was before I got pregnant with my second, but I got pregnant with my third about 6 months after my last shot. They say to get off of it at least a year before you plan to get pregnant. I've never had a problem with it. I think my periods started the month after the depo wore off.

Dear Ladies I completely understand how you all feel. I was on the depovera shot for 7years. As my body got used to the shot i started having to get the shot more frenquently if i didn't i would get migrains, tender, brests and hot flashes. i recently got off the shot becuse my doctor told me that they have recently discovered a a__socation between osteoproisis and the shot. and sence i have stoped using the shot i haven't felt right my advice is for yong women who want to get on birth control stick with the pill because there a lot safer then the shot all though there still are some health concerns they are a lot better for you then the shot. the second piece of advice is don't smoke while on the pill or the shot the health risks are far more sever then if you didn't smoke please email me if you have any questions bb1190@hotmail.com

I was on Depo for 5 years, I never had a period in all that time. It was starting to give me negative side effects so I stopped it. It took me 8 months to get pregnant.

I was on the shot for 8 months. I stopped in Dec 2004. I am still not preg.

well i had the depo shot 3 times in 1998 after I had my first child with no complications. I was off the shot in late 1998 and never had a period for 11 months after. Then when I did it was real irregular. I had blood work done at the request of my ob and found that the shot completly messed up my progestrone level. I finally conceived in 2005 after about 6 years of trying and now my progestrone level is still messed up and I have to take progestrone supplements. Good luck!

I have been trying to conceive for 1year and 4 months and still no positive answer... I went to my doctor TODAY and he says everything is fine but 1 out of 20 women it takes 18 months to conceive so just be patient!!!! I will try to but just like I said we have been trying for a while. Good luck to all!
