Faintlines Monthly 3 Days Late

I have 2 lite positve hpt's that are getting darker the longer they sit?
what does that mean? i'm 16 dpo and 3 days late on my period? last cycle was aug 23rd of sept
The lite lines took up to 10 mins to show thats how long the test said to wait so i did but shouldn't it show alot faster & darker? my ob/gyn said that makes me 4wks &3 days? Could my HcG level still be that low?

Wow, I just had the same exact thing happen to me. Apparently the 88 cent test at Walmart are EXTREMELY sensitive. I took like 20 of them and kept getting the same faint line. Apparently I didn't ovulate EXACTLY when I thought. I took a digital which showed YES pregnant, 4 days later I went to the doctors and found out I was only 3 and 1/2 weeks which meant I was testig positive on an 88 cent test at barely 3 weeks. Take a digital. They come in two so if it's negative wait two days. And like I said, mine was exactly the same, three days after my period was supposed to start and everything. Some woman ovualte later or sooner than what the "typical" time frame is. If it is positive your doctor may give you a blood test to get your levels and give you a more accurate day. BTW my last period was 17th of August so GOOD LUCK!!!!!

And also he line took like 7 minutes to show up at all on mine. They get darker though when the evap line mixes with the faint positive. You probably are.
