Hello fellow Erica, lol. But seriously, I also am two weeks late, I just took a pregnancy test this afternoon and it too came back negative. I want children but later on in life, I am still too young and would not be able to take care of myself and a child. But I digress, this is not the first time it has happened. I know that sometimes too much stress can cause a period to be late, even by as much as two weeks. When I read your story I was floored because it is similar to mine. I wish you the best of luck.

Hello ladies, to comment on Van79's post about wishing more people came back onto the site to update their progress; I wanted to let you know that I have heard of many ladies in the same situation testing negative 6-7 times or more before they got their BFP (Big Fat Positive)... Some women just have low progesterone or progesterone deficiency so this will result in negative pregnancy tests. If you really feel that you might be pregnant, the best thing to do is eat healthy, get plenty of sleep and try and remain stress free as much as possible. Wait for your next missed period and retest again either with HPT (home pregnancy test) or go to your doctor or clinic to get blood work done. Hope this info helps and good luck to you all :)

Hello Ladies, A couple of months ago I was scouring the net trying to find out why I was late with a negative HPT. In the end I had no period for 8 weeks. It turns out that I had had a chemical pregnancy the month before and as I had had my period I did not realise. I was testing for ovulation and getting a positive even though I did not feel like I was ovulating, but I was in fact picking up the pregnancy hormone. This was obvious by the tests that my doctor eventually did. I am still trying to conceive, but I feel optimistic because I had actually conceived. Now when I have a period I do a pregnancy test too just so that I know. Good luck to everyone trying to concieve.
