No Period After A Miscarriage

I had a natural miscarriage in April. My hcg levels were down to 4 at the beginning of May. It is now mid-July, and I still have not gotten a period. I took a pregnancy test, and it was negative. My doctor told me it's nothing to worry about, and I should just keep waiting. Has anyone else experienced this? Should I be concerned?
