Should I Continue Taking Birth Control

Okay, I just started taking Birth Control about 2 mon. ago.. My doctor told me that it wouldnt be effective until my second pack. I had unprotected s_x various time and now having syptoms of pregnancy. My doctor told me the pill makes your body "think" you are preg. but I dont know.. Should I continue with the pill?
