So, after much research (for about three months) I've decided to TTC twins! I'm nervous about it because I've had a c-section before, but my cousin (who is in her second year of residency) a__sures me that a twin pregnancy in a woman who is at least 6 months post partum after a c-section, is just as risky as someone who hasn't had one... I'm about 9 months post partum.
The regimin I've decided to follow is 100mg clomid day 3-7. I will take 81mg of baby aspirin everyday until I get a + test result. I will start using OPK's on day 10 until I've had positive ones. I will continue to chart my basal temperature daily. I will take 200mg Guaifenesin starting at day 10 and ending at my discretion. I will take 400mg of folic acid daily, as well as a multivitamin. I will also use progesterone cream starting after I ovulate.
I'm excited, but very nervous!

Hello ladies. So I have a crazy story for you all. I was considering going out drinking tonight with a couple of friends and thought that just to be safe I better do a test. It was a good thing I did. I was so convinced that I had had a chemical pregnancy. The test was positive and it showed positive in the recommended read time. YAY!!!! Carolina I know how you feel. I have a friend who is pg with twins. She got pg 2 weeks b4 me and we had our ultrasounds 1 day apart. She found out she was having twins at her ultrasound. The very next day I found out I wasn't even going to have one, but a miscarriage instead. She is having b/g twins and is due at the beginning of June. I do not remember where I ordered my Clomid from, and since I ordered it have not been able to find the website again. I ordered it and had all of the information saved on our old computer which crashed completely 2 mths ago. I have heard of a lot of people using medmex (or something like that.) maybe the other girls can help you. Well here's to my December baby after all!!!! Twin dust to all!

It did Schar. It was positive straight away. I am thrilled! I am 3 weeks 5 days today. Tuesday is the day AF was supposed to visit. I have a sono set up for May 2nd (They set it up for me when I called with the first positive test to get my progesterone prescription, and I never called to tell them that I thought I had a chemical pregnancy because I am at work all the time and didn't really want to discuss another loss at work in an open cubicle with all my coworkers listening.) So any way I am very glad that I didn't call because here I would be calling them again saying I am an idiot...hehehe. So if I make it to my sono (both of my last miscarriages were revealed at the first sonogram) with a living baby I will be sooo happy. I am very nervous about losing this pg like I did the last two. Hopefully the progesterone will help!

That's great bryandi! I really hope it all works out for you! Keep us posted!!! As far as me, I ordered my clomid from mexmeds4u and hopefully they'll be here soon. I also ordered my progesterone cream, and my ovulation test strips. Woohoo! I'm excited. I'm a little worried about gettign pregnant with multiples. Especially since I had a c-section eight months ago. What do you think? Should I want another month or two? And should I do 50mg or 100mg? I've been thinking about jumping straight to the 100's

Carolina, I wouldn't worry too much about the c-section. I think your body has probably recuperated already unless you had complications or feel yourself that you don't feel quite right yet. I know of many people and relatives who have had c-sections and gone on to get pg within the first 4 months after the operation and deliver just fine. As far as the 50 or 100, I would personally go with the 50 first to see how your body reacts to it. It is entirely up to what you feel comfortable with, though. Plus you very well might not get pg the first cycle on the Clomid because your body may need to adjust to the new hormones. So you could do 50 and if you get pg then oh well and if not then up to 100. Let me know how it goes for you! Oh and I did not order from the place you did, but it took my Clomid like 5 weeks to get to me. So just based on when your Clomid arrives you may be 9 mths post c-section. Good luck. Twin dust to all!

That's a good point. I just really want twins or more this time around... And I don't know if 50mg will do that! -lol- I'm a worry wart. And I'm kind of a fertile myrtle, so odds are I WILL get pregnant my first round. It took me nine days to get pregnant with my little girl last time.... But I don't want to take 100mg and end up with eight... But that's really rare, isn't it? I'd be okay with anything less than four.
I do worry about the c-section. I feel fine. it dosen't hurt or cause me any pain, and it hasn't for four or five months. I feel ready. I'm just afraid with twins it might rip open... But if I get multiples I'll probably do a scheduled elective c-section. That's not too scary for me. I've been there, done that. And I'm prepared to do it again. I'm just wondering if it'd be bad to actually carry multiples after a c-section.
I was also curious, how do you plan on telling your doctor what you did???? Or do you plan on not telling them?

Bryandi - I'M SO HAPPY FOR YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't wait to hear the update from the u/s. I'm glad it happened for one or more of us. I don't think this will be mymonth. I think AF will be here as scheduled on Saturday but I will hold her as long as I can so the other ladies can join you with their BFP
LittleLinda - Do you have a regular email account because my work computer block me from going to the facebook site.
Schar - Keeping my fingers cross that this is your month. Can you also do your step by step again. I just have this feeling that AF will be here on Saturday so I want to be prepared. I don't get paid until friday so Ican't get the stuff I need until then.
Carolina73 - Did you get my other response? I tried your yahoo email and it was a delivery failure. I would like to talk to you.

Krissy, no I didn't get your emails. Weird. My yahoo is x_niki.ford_x at yahoo. Don't forget there's a . between niki and ford. If not, try MSNing me on hotmail at blazedcandybaby at hotmail. As far as me, I might have to wait until next month to try because I'm already spotting a bunch. Oh well. It will be nice to get off the pill for a month before the clomid. Right? -lol-

Carolonia73 - I have some questions for you if you don't mind me asking. What days are you taking the baby asprin? What time of day do you use the opk and how many times of day do you test. I saw some at the 99 cent start but only one test came in the box I was thinking of getting some so how many do I need to get? Couldn't I just get some pre nat vitamins? Wouldn't that take the place of the folic acid and multivitamin? What days do I take them on. The last question I know this is dumb but how do you use the progesterone cream?
Thanks for your help.
