Weird Period Or Pregnant?

I stopped taking my birth control last time I got my period. Before getting on birth control my periods were very heavy and long (mind you I only started taking it again about a year ago). my period was only 2 days late and the third day I was barely bleeding enough for a tampon. So basically it only lasted 2 days. I was extremely nauseous at the beginning of the week, the previous week I had no appetite but the last time I had sex I was still on my birth control ( I know it's not 100% effective) but my periods have always been consistent. Do you guys think my body is just being weird because of stopping the pill? I'm just unsure if I should bother with a pregnancy test.
