if this is correct and my son weighs 16 lbs then he should be drinking 40 0z??? that sounds like a lot and right now he only drinks around 30-32 in 24 hours.

I think the rule also states up to 32 (or 34? cant remember) oz. If he's still hungry you probably have to supplement with solids, but before doing so run it by caleb's doc

I cannot remember what my doc said about how many oz per lb, but my 10 week old should be between 25 and 30 oz give or take a few, according to my gastroenterologist, he has reflux, and he had been taking 40 oz per day. But he was allergic to previous formula and was having too many bowel movements. So she said he is right where he needs to be now. We switched his formula and he gets rice cereal in his bottles too. Got him down to where he needs to be. He weighs almost 15 lbs.
