I noticed today that when i stick my tongue out at my 5.5 month old and make a 'fart' noise she mimics me and does it back, followed with a healthy laugh... i wasnt aware that she would be able to copy me at this age... ??

My baby was copying me at 2 months. When you engage them, you will be amazed at what they are capable of :) We also had no idea until we tried it.

My daughter was copying us at about 2 months as well. If we stuck our tongue out at her, she would do it back. Now at 3.5 months, she does it backs, then laughs about it. Babies are so cute...

That is the exact thing our baby would do. He loved to stick his tongue out when we would. I also say "gee" and he loves that word. I know experts say not to use baby talk, but we do anyhow. Our child interacts with us when we do as he must feel he understands when we use his language.

Babies are very smart...it's amazing what their young minds absorb. My 6 week old like the word "whoooo"..whenever I say it she laughs her tail off!

That "fart" noise is what they mean in the baby books when they say the baby can make a "raspberry" sound.

Get ready for this one. I have a 14 month old. He was tossing things off the table. I told him to stop. He looked back at me with this cute smile and said "NO". Already he's copy me!!! Your time will come....heeheee......Enjoy your newborn!!!
