my son is 3 weeks old. at night, he grunts in his sleep and wakes often. he does sometimes sleep for 2-4 hours, but the last week he seems to be falling backwards with it again, like when he was first born. He seems gassy and dr. told me to get mylecon drops. anyone have good or bad exp.with that? Also, my son seems to grunt more at night when he's in our room. could it be from air conditioner? it is not too cold or anything, but I know sometimes my nose has been stuffed up or something. thanks :) I'm only gettin 2-4 hrs. of sleep and I have a toddler to take care of so I can't sleep during the day.

My 11 wk old daughter is a night time grunter too. I don't worry about it and it seems to have quietened down a bit. I figured it was gas that she hadn't got up and now she's better at getting it up herself. As for the 2 - 4 hours, he could be having a growth spurt or trying to up your milk production for one perhaps

Well my daughter did the same thing and I used the Mylecon drops and they work magic. She was unconfortable due to gas. I also would give her Fennel Tea which soothed hes belly. You just buy the Fennel andboil it, strain it, cool it and give it to baby. Trust me, both will let you get more sleep.

Mylicon drops are WONDERFUL!!! They are perfectly safe for babies. They taste good, so you can either give them to them in the dropper, or you can put some in the bottle. If that doesnt work, try letting the baby sleep in the swing or something. It may work. Where is the crib placed? Is it next to a window, maybe there is too much light coming in, or its too dark, or maybe it is too loud from traffic. Hope something helps!
