I have been pumping a 4oz bottle a day a freezing it for when I return to work and unable to feed the baby. I figured when I returned to work, I would pump when the baby would normally eat and therefore have a nice supply saved up for her. Well - now I go back to work in 2 days and my pump is broken. They are sending a replacement part, but it wont get here for 7-10 days. What can I do - since I won't be @ home with her, my milk supply is sure to go down - will I be able to get it back up again once my pump is up and running again? How??

I would go buy a good manual pump. I use an avent isis daily and really like it. They are about $40. You have to keep pumping or your more than likely going to have a supply problem.

I use the advent isis and works great for me. I get at least 25 oz a day.

I have the avent isis and a manual just doesn't pull any milk out of me! Can you increase supply back up once it goes down?

I am not sure but I have better days than others.but I would not go 7-10 days without pumping. Maybe you can rent for the time being.

Call your hospital. They'll have a pump you can either use or rent for a few days. Even if you have to pump with a manual pump, you should be able to bring your supply back up once you start pumping again.
