How can I tell if my baby is constipated
If the baby’s infrequent stools are firmly formed or come out in hard pellets, or if they cause pain or bleeding (from a fissure or crack in the a__s as a result of pushing), then your baby is constipated.

Sounds like she's constipated. I would do like the others said and give her nothing but b___stmilk. It has a natural laxitive in it. Emma gurnts and cries sometimes too because she gets ga__sy but when she b__ws you know it! I put her in a reclining position on my lap and that helps her go better. I would kick the formula idea and focus on nursing her. Your supply will build up faster this way too.

I appreicated everyone telling me to strictly b___stfeed, however I was not producing enought milk. I b___stfed at every feeding and if she was not getting enough, I had to suppliment rather than letting my baby starve. As hard as that was for me to do, I had to. I always pumped after feeding her as well to try and increase my milk flow and I am working with a lactation consultant to try and produce more milk. The problem is that I have been sick with the flu and it has caused my milk to decrease. My question was not about b___stfeeding. Anyhow, I have increased enough with pumpings that she has had strickly b___stmilk for 6 straight days and her poops have all been the same, just different colors. I am going to see a different dr on Monday. On another note, not eveyone can just 'kick' the formula idea. If someone has to suppliment, then they have to. I feel bad for having to do it, but it makes me even more frustrated and hurt to see other people here not supporting the fact that I had to. Everyone had their own theories about what is best and I chose to feed my baby and I don't think that makes me a bad mother.

Since the advice here has all been pretty good all you can do from here is take a little humour break from your concern sooo....I always scream when I poop ... I get strange looks in public washrooms but especially scream when I am doing my yoga and standing on my head leaning against the door . It helps push it out but sometimes the neighbours get a little concerned ,once they even called the police because they thought my husband was beating me .... anyway without getting into the gorey details I just hate the way gravity works .
