My daughter is 4 months and the doc said to start her on cereals and pureed veggies. Today is the 4th day and she has ate green beans for dinner just fine, obviously not a lot yet but takes them fine. But she doesn't like the cereals rice or oatmeal. She will take a bite or two then start spitting it out and turning her head, any suggestions??

Try barley, or try mixing the cereal with a food she will eat.

when you mix her cereal, do you use her milk, or just water? I found with my daughter she'd only eat it with milk. However, you may already be doing that!

Mix it with fruit and add just a little sugar. Gives it some flavor. Use the formula milk also. Should be just fine. That is what I did with my daughter as she loved it.

Everyone keeps telling me not to add things to it until she likes her veggies. What did you all do? Did you add something anyway or wait?? Thanks!!

You always hear that if you let your baby have "sweet" stuff too early they wont like vegies. Well that is not always the case. With my daughter for breakfast I mixed cereal with apple sauce peaches or other fruits. Lunch was a vegie and fruit and dinner was the same. But do make sure you make the cereal with milk/formula. I usually put a little cereal on the spoon and then dipped the spoon in fruit just a little bit. Hope this helps a little.

It does it gives me ideas from parents not from a book or what other people think. :) I always make it with her formula though. Thanks!

Airplane...LOL...I always play games when feeding my kids. Like the ladies said. Mix fruit and formula with the baby's cereals. Take care

I have tried the airplane trick she smiles and laughs and as soon as you are close to "landing" lips shut!
