Anyone use one? I got one for my shower and both me and dh have had a cold last weeks or so, and it works great. I got the vicks steam stuff from the store and put that in the water, and it kept my nose clear and I could breathe good, the baby hasn't even been stuffy in the mornings with the dry heat. I was pretty excited. I know they are good to use in the winter months, but have never used one before. I would recommend this one!

I think it does shut off automatically. We make sure its full when we go to bed, and turn it off in the morning. I was sorry I waited so long to take it out of the box. I don't wake up with a real dry throat from the heat anymore either. Yay1

Hi Rachael how are you and lucas doing? I have a cold humidifier...what is the difference? do you know? Caleb is teething like crazy...drool everywhere and at night he has been crying like crazy and nothing will comfort him until he finally goes to sleep...he does sleep the whole night though.

Hi monica, we're doing pretty good this week. Lucas is teething too. I can tell his gums hurt. He tries rubbing them together, and it takes him a long time to get settled at night. I have had to give him tylenol a few times at night this week because I could tell he was so agitated with his gum. The drooling is nuts! We go thru so many bibs! I really think it is the tething making them uncomfortable at night. Lucas has been sleeping better once he goes to sleep lately. How are you doing with the adjustment back to work now? Is it getting any easier yet for you? I'm not really sure what the difference is between the warm and cold mist, as far as which does what better.

We bought one when I was pregnant. We use it for Danny without the Vicks right now. The regular humidifier part helps to keep his nose clear. The heat in here sometimes makes his nose stuffy and dry.

Work is OK I came back right on time....we had our Christmas party yesterday so it was good food and I won a digital camera...so I was excited. Gosh I cant wait until this whole teething thing is over....with my first he was not as sensetive as Caleb.....so it was not a big deal.

Ha ha ha! Those humidifiers work great, although just a tad bit of advice..... do not use it in a small room, with the door shut!!!! Hailey had a bad cold last year, so I put it in her room and shut the door. The next morning, I woke up to Hailey crying, "What is that! Mommy! Whats on my ceiling?!!!!" It got so humid in her room, that overnight the walls and ceiling were covered in some kind of fungus type looking stuff! Her room looked like a petrie dish! It was horrible!

Eww, chelsey, My bedroom is big enough, but the moment I see fungus, the humidifier is out of there! Monica, I don't think it is probably as bad as my little drama king makes it out to be either. I wish he would cut a tooth already!

As mentioned above, be careful of too much humidity. It can cause mold growth that you can't see. The mold can cause breathing problems and is also an allergin. When I use one I fill it with plain water and add a few drops of tea tree oil and eucalptus oil. The tea tree oil inhibits the mold growth and eucalyptus to open the help unblock nasal pa__sages.
