It sounds normal to me. Babies gain a lot of weight the first couple of months and then slow down a little. If you are worried I would call the pediatrician. When you are a new mom they expect questions like this. :0)

If there was a problem with his weight gain, the doctor will tell you. Babies arent supposed to diet. My son was also a slow eater but he eventually got over that. Now he's on solids and I cant get the spoon to him fast enough :)

My 11 week old eats 5 to 6 oz every 3 to 4 hours through the day she weighs 12lbs 3 oz but that was last month I'm sure shes gained more by now the Doc said it's fine if your bottles feeding maybe the nipple is too small and he can't get it out as easy so he works harder to eat which slowes him down don't worry everything sounds great my daughter weighed 7 lbs 12 oz at birth. Now shes sleeping through the night. If your worried ask the Doc they will tell you if hes too big but I doubt it.
Sounds like you have a very healthy babe.
