The fact tha I even mentioned adderall just means that I read the study. You know the ending where it says signs of ADHD show up then. I wasn't trying to be rude.

Maria, I certainly did not mean your posting. I meant in general. My point was really that we are here to help each other and give our personal opinions, not try to force them down peoples throats in a non helpful way. I apologize if I offended anyone on this thread. I value everyones opinion, but sometimes things do get taken a little too far by us hormonal women who feel pa__sionately. Myself included. Apologies again. Geez, I am batting 1000 today. I think i'll go now. Maybe I am too hormonal to be here today. I never try to offend anyone on purpose.

I don't see Baby Einstien affecting babies negatively when shown in moderation. I agree, it has a lot of educational presentations, letters, numbers, shapes, colours, learning words in different languages. It also has cla__sical music which is good for brain development.

I'm sorry, but I don't think dvd's are good for babies or toddlers. What wrong with a childs parents teaching them shapes, colors, number, letters ect.? I would rather sit down with my son and teach him rather than a video flashing shapes of different colors and playing music. With obesity being what it is today, why would you start something with your baby by putting them in front of the tv because they will learn from it. I would much rather take my son for a walk and count how many blocks we have walked or tell him what color the cars are we are pa__sing. My husband is overweight and has ADHD and loves his tv because that's how his parents kept him busy. My parents never sat us in front of a tv. I knew my letters, numbers, colors and shapes when I was 4. I'm sorry, but this is just my opionion.

Katie your making a good point for parents who do not interact with thier children and use DVD as a baby sitter. But showing to them DVD sometimes I think is o.k.
